Adrian Farner Rogne's research interests lie at the numerous intersections between the welfare state, education, migration, social inequalities, labor market, demography, and health.
Rogne has researched a variety of topics, including the accuracy of Norwegian population projections, overqualification among immigrants in the Norwegian labor market, the relationship between retirement age and life expectancy, residential and school segregation, alcohol consumption among youth, cash-for-care benefits and fertility, nature, nurture and social inequalities, and the effects of expanding higher educational supply in rural areas. In his research, Rogne primarily works with register data and frequently draws on theories and methods from sociology, demography, and economics.
