Political scientist interested in trust, freedom of expression, and political polarization
Dag Wollebæk is a Researcher I at ISF and holds a PhD in comparative politics from UiB. The common thread running through his research is trust, which he has examined from a wide range of angles: the trust relationship between institutions and citizens, trust in research, trust as social capital, and the importance of trust for volunteer motivation.
Wollebæk also studies attitudes toward other topics, including immigration, integration, and freedom of expression, with a particular focus on polarization. His research is primarily based on quantitative survey data and survey experiments. He has a background in civil society research and has also published scholarly works on social media.
