Sociologist working on gender equality, immigrant integration and freedom of speech

Marjan Nadim has a PhD in Sociology from University of Oslo (2014), and her research interests include: immigrants and children of immigrants in education and the labour market, gender equality in the labour market, hate speech and free speech.

Nadim is editor for The Norwegian Journal of Social Research. She was member of the Norwegian national UNESCO commission (2013-2020), as well as the Norwegian Government’s Equality Commission submitting two official reports: NOU 2011:18 Structure for equality, and NOU 2012: 15 Policy for equality. Nadim has a MSc in Social Psychology from London School of Economics (LSE).
