The aim of the project is to compile and synthesise existing research -primarly Norwegian- on immigrants’ and ethnic minorities participation in the voluntary sector in order to help us identify some of the most crucial questions for further research on the field.
The first part concerns so-called immigrant organisations or ethnically based organisations. The other is about immigrants’ participation in the voluntary sector in general, with particular emphasis on sport associations, children- and youth organisations and the trade unions.
