The European Social Survey (ESS) is a large-scale cross-national survey that collects data on attitudes, opinions, and behaviours in more than 30 European countries.
Focusing on themes such as politics, society, values and living conditions, the ESS offers an invaluable basis for studying changes and stability in European societies over time.
Ukraine faces major challenges after nearly four years of large-scale war, carrying multifaceted implications for researchers. This event will cover both how the survey was conducted in Ukraine in 2022 (just before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine) and how it will be carried out in 2026, providing insights into methodological approaches and data collection.
