We update and expand the analysis from the report «Researchers’ wage trajectories in the Norwegian labor market, 2004-2014» with the additional years of 2015 to 2019.
The main objective of the previous report was to analyze the development of careers and wages of researchers across various sectors, and to compare this with non-researchers with an equally high level of education. In addition to updating the analysis in the previous report, we emphasize the following dimensions in this project:
- gender
- ethnicity
- the distinction between private and public enterprises
In addition, the project examine how wages change with increasing seniority over the course of the career of individuals with high education in the period 2015-2019. We distinguish between different groups based on the dimensions mentioned above. This will give as an insight into the differences in career paths between researchers and other highly educated individuals across sectors and industries.
