The social effects of volunteering
How do voluntary organisations contribute to solving important societal challenges? We have previously researched this topic and will in this round strengthen and further develop knowledge and research in the field.
Civil society research has previously looked at how voluntary organisations contribute to solving key societal challenges, such as integration, preparedness, and health and quality of life. The societal effects of volunteering refer to the short-term and long-term effects of voluntary organisations on individuals, local communities and society at large.
How does volunteering solve important societal challenges?
There is a need to strengthen and further develop knowledge and research on how voluntary organisations contribute to solving important societal challenges, as well as develop methods for measuring the societal effects of the organisation's activities in areas that are particularly relevant to the organisations' activities.
