At the centre we map and analyze changes in the Norwegian voluntary organizational landscape.
The traditional people's movements in Norway have lost their dominant position in favour of network-based and more decentralised organisation structures. In our research we map and analyze these changes, asking:
- What changes take place in the organisational population and organisational structure at the local, regional and national levels?
- Which social spheres do organisations primarily target?
- What is the scope of organisations with regard to membership, staff and finances, as well as contact with public authorities?
We also examine new forms of collaboration between the voluntary sector and other actors. This includes research on the scope and characteristics of social entrepreneurship in Norway.
