Economist interested in the welfare state

Sara Cools holds a PhD in economics from the University of Oslo. Her research focuses on the links between family and work, education and inequality.

Her papers are published in several international journals, and she regularly writes for the Norwegian newspaper Klassekampen. The article Causal effects of paternity leave on children and parents was awarded the Scandinavian Journal of Economics prize for best paper in 2015.
